Senior Manager - Digital Merchandising

The Senior Manager - Digital Merchandising will report to a Director of Digital Merchandising or Ecommerce Leader. The Sr. Manager of Digital Merchandising will lead the digital customer journey through external marketing strategies and internal site execution. Primary responsibility will be to lead ecommerce sales and margin by optimizing merchandise strategies online with enhanced user experiences, site content, and PDP accuracy. Optimizes revenue across eCommerce business by utilizing fact-based recommendations to influence and impact site experience, marketing, pricing, taxonomy, assortment, inventory investment and other drivers. Facilitates alignment of merchandising and .com team on priorities and actions including time and action for changes and potential impacts. Is the leader of their 00M+ digital business with P&L accountability.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Identifies best in class retailers and market research on site experience, taxonomy, assortment and other business drivers
  • Suggests new and innovative experience and product ideas to drive revenue
  • Coordination and timely communication of changes and potential impacts between .com and all other members of the cross functional business unit (BU) including merchandise, marketing, inventory management, planning & allocation, and site experience team
  • Delivers customer journey through site executionâ€<, influence marketing strategies with divisional journey analysisâ€<, drives divisional/category sales through new user experiencesâ€<, implements digital linking strategyâ€<, analyzes site metric analysisâ€<, improvement product pages, implements divisional SEO and Taxonomyâ€< strategies, and conceives of and performs competitive analysis.
  • Refines customer journey for external paid and unpaid marketing channels, influence marketing timing, content at the divisional level. â€
  • Leads online category prioritizationâ€< and work on marketing planningâ€<, brand matrix and brand planning â€<
  • Item Set Up -features, benefits, attributes supporting taxonomy.
  • Reviews in-stock, inventory position for marketingâ€< and merchandising recommendations, performs buy quantification analysis and confirms pricing strategy.
  • Leads Business Review preparation, analysis, and improvements Daily, Weekly, Monthly, etc.â€<
  • Identify risks/opportunities by categoryâ€< for division and business.
  • Participates in open to buy decisions and makes recommendations for inventory investments.
  • Regularly publishes set information on site performance to include sales and profit of vendors, site metrics, search investment and other metrics determined to be critical to revenue generation and optimization

Core Competencies & Accomplishments:
  • 7+ years' experience in Retail eCommerce
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong vision for customer journey and experience
  • Cross-functional influencer and communicator; creative problem solver
  • Key merchandising skills/knowledge
  • Critical thinking skills, courageous,
  • Results oriented with strong leadership and collaboration skills
  • Ability to build trust and drive change.
