Director, Digital Experience – Homepage & Campaigns

The Director, Digital Experience – Homepage & Campaigns reports to the Sr. Director of Ecommerce. The Digital Experience Director manages the digital customer journey through external marketing strategies and internal site execution. Primary responsibility is to drive ecommerce sales and margin by optimizing merchandise strategies online with enhanced user experiences and site content of the JCP.com Homepage and tent pole events. Optimizes revenue across eCommerce business by utilizing data driven recommendations to influence and impact site experience, marketing, pricing, taxonomy and other drivers. Facilitates alignment of merchandising and digital teams.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partner with key stakeholders across multiple functional teams to create consistent and optimized customer experience including Merchandising, Marketing, UX, Creative, Analytics, Product Management and Operations
  • Partner with marketing and creative to define the Homepage product stories and key content hubs
  • Drive vision, strategy and planning for customer experiences based on data, actionable insights & recommendations
  • Define and track KPIs & dashboards, including financial, engagement & efficiency metrics
  • Lead Personalization planning and execution in partnership with Customer Insights & UX Research
  • Define customer journey for external paid and unpaid marketing channels and ensure they’re properly executed across the site
  • Research market trends and provide competitive insights to identify white space, improve our online presence and drive the business
  • Partner with cross functional teams to refine and optimize end to end campaign development process and proactively remove obstacles to ensure smooth launches and ongoing optimization
  • Coach, develop and train team to advance skills and support career development
  • Champion operational best practices and assist with continued cross functional education
  • Create and communicate actionable insights to digital leadership and cross functional partners
  • Drive collaborative environment acting as subject mater expert on assigned areas

Core Competencies & Accomplishments:

  • 10+ years’ experience in Retail eCommerce
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong vision for customer journey and experience
  • Strong influencer and communicator; creative problem solver
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills and ability to present point-of-view to various levels of the organization
  • Excellent critical thinking skills
  • Results oriented with strong leadership and collaboration skills
  • Ability to build trust, take risks and drive change
