Procurement Sourcing Manager – Corporate Services

JCPenney Procurement is seeking a Procurement Sourcing Manager - Corporate Services that leads strategic sourcing activities for your assigned category of spend, with the goal of achieving significant cost reductions, productivity improvements, and maintained or improved product quality and vendor service levels. Works closely with key internal business stakeholders to develop effective cost reduction strategies and implementation plans.  You will work within Procurement to champion improved processes with lower expense and decreased risk to the business. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Draws insights from market and data analysis and provides recommendations and action plans to achieve desired results for sourcing initiatives
  • Leads cross-functional teams to drive identification of sourcing opportunities and requirements, including desired outcome and constraints
  • Recommend appropriate approach for each identified sourcing opportunity, accounting for size, complexity, urgency, risks, savings objectives, and other parameters
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to understand and prioritize business objectives, requirements, and constraints; navigate across business and functional lines to drive stakeholder alignment toward desired outcomes
  • Create and develop opportunity-specific RFx collateral, including timeline, requirements, targeted engagement model and response templates
  • Lead contract negotiations for favorable terms and conditions, including pricing and risk mitigation
  • Cultivate internal business stakeholder and external vendor relationships
  • Prepare and conduct executive-level communication and presentations

Core Competencies & Accomplishments:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5-7 years relating purchasing/buying/ sourcing industry experience
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills and maintain attention to detail to ensure successful project execution 
  • Be able to perform in a demanding environment while juggling multiple competing priorities
  • Strong contract negotiation skills, the ability to gather and analyze data, assess risks / gaps and make recommendations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office365.  Understanding of Oracle ERP applications a plus
  • CPM/ CPSM certified is a plus
