Payment Operations Specialist

The Payment Operations Specialist will support and assist Director of Payments with day-to-day operations, projects, and other duties as assigned.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Authorization rules and requirements
  • Learn all aspects of authorization rules and requirements for Synchrony, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, PayPal, Certegy, PIN Debit, and Gift Card
  • Ensure compliance with the rules and requirements by payment type
  • Review and manage authorization activity by payment type
  • Perform trend analysis on a regular basis
• Settlement rules and requirements
  • Learn all aspects of settlement rules and requirements for Synchrony, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, PayPal, Certegy, PIN Debit, and Gift Card
  • Point of contact for the Credit team in the Shared Services Center in Salt Lake City
  • Ensure compliance with the rules and regulations by payment type
  • Review and manage settlement activity by payment type
  • Settlement funding process and validation
  • Perform interchange trend analysis by card type on a regular basis
• Chargeback Process and Cost Management
  • Learn all aspects of the chargeback lifecycle for Synchrony, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, PayPal, and Certegy
  • Point of contact and escalation for the team in the Shared Services Center in Salt Lake City
  • Perform trend analysis on chargeback costs by card type on a regular basis
• Customer experience
  • POS, Ecommerce, Mobile App
• Project Management skills     
  • Actively participates in projects

• Bachelor’s degree

• Strong sense of urgency, ability to adapt to change, and self-starter
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Experieice with Microsoft tools: Excel, Power Point
• PCI knowledge
