Digital Lead - Taxonomy & Attributes

The Digital Lead - Taxonomy & Attributes represents the customer, evaluates taxonomy, and provides strategy and recommendations for site optimization and consistency as well as governance over navigation, taxonomy and attributes.   He/she will support the Digital Merchants and report directly to the Taxonomy & Attributes Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Taxonomy team, driving the most impactful initiatives forward and ensuring flawless execution
  • Help mentor and coach taxonomy and business associates in taxonomy best practices
  • Optimize current taxonomy schemes, by identifying and troubleshooting website classification, to create the best experience for customers.
  • Create new taxonomy attributes for new assortment categories as per established governance standards.
  • Work with cross-functional teams and understand their needs to recommend taxonomy setup that will improve search and discovery experience.
  • Participate in the Data Governance Committee to assess challenges and identify/quantify opportunities and risks according to established standards.  Responsible for approving all changes and updates prior to launching on site.
  • Conduct weekly site & competitive reviews for assigned categories to identify opportunities and risks in accordance with standards.
  • Identify system enhancements, partner with corresponding teams, and submits necessary enhancement requests for navigation experience.
  • Responsible for maintaining business logic that support product data driven automation initiatives.
  • Analyze Web Analytics and CSAT reports, identify patterned issues with resolves, making changes to business processes, and.

Core Competencies & Accomplishments:

  • Bachelor/Associate degree is preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in e-commerce and product attribution
  • Advanced knowledge in Taxonomy and/or Site Optimization is preferred
  • Positive and Can-Do attitude
  • Demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow through on projects and be highly detail oriented 
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Strong problem solving and conceptual thinking abilities
  • Experience analyzing large datasets
  • Strong background in research and analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to effectively manage time and priorities
