Senior Human Resources Coordinator - Lenexa, KS

The Senior Human Resources Coordinator will support the local Logistics Associates by providing front line Human Resource support.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first-line human resource support to managers and associates.  Provides information and guidance, or escalate inquires as appropriate; responds to internal and external customers
  • Explain and answer questions about JCPenney policy and procedures to associates and job applicants
  • Ensure data integrity in the HRIS system and understanding the impacts of the data to our HR reporting.
  • Daily maintenance of HR data through various electronic programs.
  • Make recommendations for HR process improvements.
  • Compiles sensitive and confidential HR related statistics and preparing reports.
  • Assist the HR team with special projects when needed.
  • This is an individual contributor role where a high degree of self-direction is required.  This role will deal with confidential information and/or issues requiring discretion and independent judgement.
  • Provide support for the following HR functions, as assigned:
    • Assists with the sourcing, recruiting and interviewing process for potential candidates, internally through the COB process and externally.
    • Research and Resolve simple Associate related issues
    • Direct Associates to appropriate resources to remedy issues (Benefits, Payroll & LOA’s).
    • Participate in New Hire Orientation.
    • Monitors Inventory and Supplies for the HR group

Core Competencies & Accomplishments:

  • High School Diploma or GED required, some college courses are preferred
  • Three to four years' experience in the same field or with related tasks is preferable.
  • Experience working in an HR logistics or  supply chain environment preferred.
