Merchandise Operations Sr Spec - Factory Ship

The Merchandise Operations Sr Specialist - Factory Ship is responsible for driving the Factory Ship business across the Company, ensuring a healthy inventory pipeline, and issue resolution across a number of functions.  In addition, there is close partnership with Merchandising, CommerceHub, and Bangalore Operations to provide analysis of category and supplier performance.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Company cross functional teams,Bangalore Digital Ops team and CommerceHub on operation issue resolution.  Partner on researching issues such as Cancellations, Aged Orders, Dropped Orders, Due Bills.
  • Coordinate with Merchants and Bangalore team on supplier and item setup completion.
  • Manage on-site inventory availability across factory ship products.
  • Provide monthly analysis of assortment and supplier productivity.  Review key performance metrics and partner with Sr Manager on hindsights/learnings to review with Business Unit.
  • Create quarterly dashboards to review factory ship performance to be shared with Sr. Leaders.
  • Monitor Drop Ship mailbox and coordinate with Merchandising on resolution to questions/issues.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis around category or supplier performance, expense opportunities,
  • Collaborate with Sr Manager, Sr. Director and Merchandising in development and execution of Factory Ship strategies.
  • Aid in preparation of weekly and monthly leadership meetings to provide progress reports.
  • Reports into the Sr. Manager, Corp Planning & Allocation, Factory Ship.

Core Competencies & Accomplishments:

  • 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in business, planning, allocation, and/or merchandising
  • College degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Ability to drive retail profitability and inventory productivity
  • Readily grasps numerical concepts and interprets financial information accurately
  • Ability to utilize retail math skills to analyze and drive business
  • Exhibit high standards and accountability; takes pride in accuracy
  • Results-oriented and self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency
  • Able to independently organize and prioritize broad workload to meet deadlines
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to successfully collaborate with internal and external partners
