Supply Chain Manager, Production Planning - Columbus, OH

The Production Planning Manager will support and assist DLC General Manager with daily, weekly, monthly, yearly labor plans to efficently flow inbound merchandise and outbound customer orders to meet financial operating plans and customer SLA’s.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates/analyzes data and forecasts to create daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly outbound fulfillment labor plans.
  • Evaluates/analyzes data and forecasts to create daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly inbound receiving labor plans.
  • Partners with Operations Leadership on inbound and outbound flow plans to maximize throughput and minimize labor.
  • Adjusts daily/weekly plans to ensure efficient inbound and outbound flow.
  • Identify problems and provide alternative solutions to achieve plans.
  • Communicates and coordinates with all DLC Staff to ensure uniform understanding and implementation of labor plans.
  • Partners with Operations on associate cross training plans.
  • Partners with Human Resources to implement the labor hiring plans.
  • Monitors and understands local labor market trends when establishing hiring plans.
  • Partners with Supply Chain Analytics Team to create visibility and SLA tools.

Core Competencies & Accomplishments:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent logistics related experience preferred.
  • 3-5 years related work experience with demonstrated success in overseeing a logistics function in high volume, multi-shift environment.
  • Superior supervisory and development abilities; strong verbal and written communication skills; able to prioritize multiple tasks, functions, and responsibilities in a fast paced environment; good critical thinking skills for proactive planning and crisis management.
  • Must be detail oriented and have the ability to initiate accurate correspondence and reports.
  • Must be able to organize, evaluate and prioritize several assignments at one time with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel and typing skills preferred.
