Store Operations Manager - Staffing and Planning

The Store Operations Staffing and Planning Manager will manage and support all staffing and planning needs within their area of responsibility and report to the Store Operations Staffing and Planning Director.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assists with daily, weekly, monthly staffing, scheduling, planning & salary cost/expense management that supports the company’s overall sales and profit objectives
  • Provides support for all staffing, scheduling and planning needs for individual region/area of responsibility; ensures all salary plans provide an effective level of resources that allows units to consistently achieve sales, customer service and profit objectives
  • Coordinates and provides insight through effective communication to the region - district- store managers on identification and solutions for salary cost issues
  • Assists in the development and implementation of new Salary and Scheduling processes and projects
  • Develops and maintains various salary expense reporting for Store Leadership teams - ensures report information is accurate and actionable so report has business analysis value.
  • Partners with various Home Office departments to ensure salary expense management is aligned with current and future business processes

Core Competencies & Accomplishments:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 5-7 years of experience in retail merchandising or store operations management
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Build strong relationships with field leadership teams
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to interpret and process information to develop sound conclusions
  • Ability to oversee salary expense objectives through multi-unit locations
  • Prior experience with Labor Forecasting and Scheduling systems preferred
