Financial Reporting Senior Manager

The Financial Reporting Senior Manager will support and assist the Controller and Financial Reporting team  with day-to-day activies related to Lease Accounting, Fixed Asset Accounting and monthly/quarterly financial close activites.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze executed lease documents and apply appropriate accounting to ensure lease action is accurately reported on the financial statements. 
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts associated with lease accounting and generate lease amortization schedules.
  • Support the Real Estate Property Managers in preparation of accounting information requested by landlords or developers. 
  • Partner with the Fixed Assets team and provide direction on asset additions, retirements and impairments. 
  • Assist with the tracking of real estate monetization and provide support for capital appropriations requests.
  • Primary support for capital/expense review from Controllers – Review and approval of capital and expense request forms; attendance at pre-capital/expense meetings

Core Competencies & Accomplishments:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
  • Minimum 5-6 years experience in accounting-related roles – real estate/lease accounting experience 
  • Retail industry experience is a plus
  • Public Accounting Experience and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus
