Director - Enterprise Fulfillment & Digital Experience

The Enterprise Fulfillment Director is responsible for driving excellence in omni channel fulfillment, partnering with Merchandising, IT, Supply Chain, and Store Operations. The position requires constant focus on driving operational efficiencies, strong project management skills, and a strong grasp of direct and indirect competitive landscapes all while providing continued recommendations to improve both experience and profitability.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Business owner of Fulfillment Center optimization and be the customer champion defining expectations to be met, and raise requirements for post purchase communications
  • Grow business through partnering with Supply Chain to improve Ship to Home and Ship to Store businesses
  • Provide data and analytical insights to drive effective change
  • Manages and participates in development of project objectives, scope, and costs for new and updated programs and systems for use in supporting Enterprise Fulfillment and Supply Chain efforts
  • Optimize customer satisfaction, growth, competitive advantage, and gross margin
  • Partner with the Merchant teams to define and optimize inventory assortment and locations (what do we have and where do we have it?)
  • Establish guidance for ship to store and when we use it (including system rules for routing orders)
  • Possess sufficient technical knowledge to support the design of these solutions, including addressing mitigation of associated risks in order management and fulfillment
  • Lead initiatives to reduce fulfillment costs and/or increase fulfillment speed
  • Work with Supply Chain on carrier relationships – Ensure we are optimizing for customer satisfaction and gross margin
  • Enhance requirements for how Fulfillment Centers can drive faster, more efficient, and cheaper alternatives to our competitors
  • Responsible for coaching and developing teams, performance reviews, and providing feedback to individuals on the team

Core Competencies & Accomplishments:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in managing and/or implementing eCommerce solutions, with extensive experience in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and digital or physical product fulfillment.
  • Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, e-commerce or demonstrated related job experience.
  • Working knowledge of the leading solutions and providers of eCommerce OMS technology.
  • Excellent foundational business skills, including analytical, written and verbal communication, leadership presence, business partner relationship development, facilitation, and presentation skills
  • This position requires knowledge of online retail and merchandising in order to translate business needs into an online experience that ensures a high-quality customer interaction in all customer touch points. 
  • High levels of: professionalism, integrity, collaboration, transparency, communication, energy
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills and proven ability to handle multiple projects independently, both short and long term.
  • Ability to provide data-driven, informed recommendations and creative solutions to data challenges, working through and with others.
