Energy Project Manager

The Energy Project Manager manages a portfolio of over 800 energy management systems and ensures that HVAC schedules, set points, and sequence of operations align with corporate standards. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supervises multiple vendors monitoring energy management systems (EMS).
  • Supervises third party EMS programming sustainment teams.
  • Coordinate HVAC and lighting schedule changes due to marketing evens with monitoring vendors. 
  • Participates in the development of new criteria and sequence of operations for new control systems.
  • Checks shop drawings and plan submittals to ensure conformity to Company requirements. Checks engineering specifications for material, equipment, and workmanship to determine that they conform to JCPenney standards. 
  • Reviews and approves all energy management system repair work orders.
  • Supervises and coordinates repair work of EMS contractors.  Review completed work to ensure that the systems are working correctly.
  • Perform quality assurance program to ensure third party EMS vendors are preforming up to JCPenney performance standards. 
  • Performs special EMS projects.

Core Competencies & Accomplishments:

  • BS,  Engineering preferred
  • 8 years of experience with energy management systems
  • Software skills in Trane Summit, Trane SC, Novar, Tridium/Niagara, JACE WorkPlace AX Highly preferred
  • Great written and oral communication skills
