General Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS ROLE:
1. Instructional Design - based on customer requirements and sound expertise, designs, blended participant-centered experiences, develops course content.
2. Utilizes a storyboard (or roadmap) technique to align on training solution aesthetics prior to executing.
3. Ensures education content is aligned to JCPenney’s core values associated with respect, inclusion and diversity.
4. Ensures education content is on-brand, aligned to the internal brand toolkit.
5. Asks for, and incorporates, feedback into learning solutions either directly from subject matter expert or from the Learning Consultant at headquarters.
6. Tests content to ensure quality and maintains existing content with a continuous improvement mindset.
7. Utilizes outstanding project management skills to execute against project plans to deliver projects on time.
8. Utilizes outstanding communication skills across the organization and within the HR team to deliver educational solutions.
9. Stays current on learning industry trends and best practices.

Education 
• 4-year college degree, preferred
Experience 
• 3 – 5 years with progressively responsible business experience as a Curriculum Designer.
• Experience developing online e-learning courses.  Experience using instructional design software; e.g. Articulate Storyline, Captivate, Vyond, Audacity, Adobe, etc.
• Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel skill required.
