Environmental, Health & Safety Leader

The Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Leader is responsible for the implementation, execution, and monitoring of all Supply Chain EHS policies, procedures and programs. The EHS leader will identify and address opportunities, creating SMART action plans to minimize risk.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Meets established performance standards on consistent basis including
    • OSHA Recordable Rate goal
    • Lost Time Rate goal
  • Conduct injury trend analysis
  • Reinforcing and driving the execution of Supply Chain EHS programs, polices, and procedures.
  • Supports multiple sites in organization San Bernardino, Lathrop, Reno, and Spanish Fork
  • Monitor, evaluate and review EHS policy/procedures; make recommendations and implement/execute new policies/procedures as required.
  • Lead in the identification of training needs for self, employees and deliver training as required.
  • Advise facility leadership on the implications of current/emerging EHS policy/procedures, making recommendations and generating action plans to reduce illness, injury, and/or to ensure compliance.
  • Champion department and facility safety committee meetings.
  • Leverage and coordinate support from facility leadership.
  • Conduct EHS audits to evaluate effectiveness of the EHS systems and programs; and to identify and implement improvements.
  • Investigate for root cause Analysis of incident/accidents, taking necessary steps to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Must have experience with Electronic Waste and Hazardous Waste
  • Must have experience with Environmental programs as they relate to California local and state regulations
  • Interface with federal, state, local agencies and outside consultants
  • Change agent for safety
  • Ability to influence key partnerships

Core Competencies & Accomplishments:

  • 4 year college degree or equivalent work experience or knowledge
  • 5-8 years of related work experience
  • Three years safety and environmental experience
  • Working knowledge of MS office
  • OSHA certification
