Conducts engineering studies and activities relating to all phases of Supply Chain Operations, including lean design, model analysis, systems, space utilization, flow, materials handling systems and equipment.

Participates with operations on process and methods improvements to drive operational excellence.

Works with Home Office engineering, Operations management and Lean Process Teams relative to methods, systems facilities, procedures and programs developed for the improvement of facility operations.

Specifies equipment and consults with suppliers on capabilities, lead-times, delivery and installation schedules; reviews supplier bids, prepares purchase orders and follows up on receipt and delivery problems. Ensures that the construction and installation are taking place as scheduled, on budget and according to established specifications.

Coordinates with internal and external resources to develop, implement and maintain productivity standards.

Conducts analysis of space and equipment utilization. Use industrial engineering skills to research and recommend techniques that will increase space and equipment capacity.

Compiles benefit analysis of proposed capital projects including evaluation of methods, ergonomics, equipment layout and design. Provide support to logistics operations including project development and cost savings.

Coordinates with Factory Mutual, OHSA and government municipalities to ensure facilities are conforming to all codes and insurance requirements. Provides engineering support to the safety and energy team.

Confer with internal and external resources to identify potential issues that could negatively impact the use of the facility. 8. Provides support and give advice in the development facility and corporate wide studies.

Initiates a working relationship and exchange of information with engineering counterparts at other facilities (both JCP and non-JCP) regarding industrial engineering techniques and how they may apply to the facility.

Directs equipment suppliers to maintain schedule, adhere to specifications and control the budget.

Coordinates with Procurement, Construction Services, Loss Prevention and Maintenance concerning matters of physical security, insurance requirements or building alterations of the facility and related contracts.

8 – 12 years in the development and application of engineering techniques and procedures. Exposure to all types of

centers (DLC, RLC, SSC, DFW) is a requirement

BS in industrial engineering preferred.
