Inclusion and Diversity Senior Specialist

The Sr. Specialist I&D provides leadership to execute and track delivery of programs supporting the inclusion and diversity strategy. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated passion for people, inclusion and diversity in every aspect of our business and at every level of our organization. The ideal candidate has an unwavering can-do attitude, builds strong relationships, is proactive and enjoys developing practical solutions that drive results. The position reports to Sr Manager Inclusion & Diversity.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Execute key diversity and inclusion initiatives, including support of our Supplier Diversity program.
  • Assist with elevating impact of the I&D strategy by providing oversight, guidance and direction – including tracking impact, benchmarking, supporting cross-functional outreach initiatives, developing and deploying tools that ensure best practices are incorporated in existing processes throughout the organization.
  • Support I&D reporting by tracking and analyzing key diversity metrics
  • Successfully build relationships with internal stakeholders, strengthening integration of I&D in all aspects of the business
  • Build relationships with current and prospective diverse partner organizations, managing associated programs to drive associate and customer engagement, efficiency, track and increase return on investment

Core Competencies & Accomplishments:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent military service preferred.
  • Demonstrated interest and passion for driving inclusion and diversity; strong interest in deepening knowledge on inclusion & diversity with the goal of advancing within the function.
  • 3-4 years HR, Stores, Marketing, Communications or related Military experience.
  • Previous experience in retail or consumer facing environment highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to get things done – proactive, results oriented, excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving and project management skills and ability to consistently manage multiple priorities.
  • Exceptional partnering, collaboration, and influencing skills; strong professional presence, with excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Ability to maintain strict HR standards of confidentiality and adhere to high ethical standards.
  • Excellent skills in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
