HR Specialist - Inclusion and Diversity

As a member of the Inclusion & Diversity (I&D) and Supplier Diversity team, you understand and have a real passion for JCPenney's commitment to our people, our communities, our products and our planet. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain team project plans, report project status, deadlines and achievement of objectives; manage team calendar, partner map and key team documents to ensure they are up to date, practical and available to all relevant partners
  • Assist with developing tools that ensure inclusion and diversity is incorporated in existing processes throughout the organization
  • Maintain team budget, execute the process for procurement and payment of services for external partners/vendors
  • Plan and execute logistical support for events
  • Drive usage and adoption of I&D programs
  • Support I&D reporting by tracking and analyzing key diversity metrics
  • Run projects through internal review and approvals processes

Core Competencies & Accomplishments:

  • You have a demonstrated interest and real passion for driving I&D and for deepening your knowledge of I&D
  • Passionate about a service and customer driven culture
  • Experience in project management and in managing across multiple partners and priorities
  • Proven ability to get things done – is enthusiastic, results oriented and has excellent organizational, analytical, and problem skills
  • Exceptional teamwork, and influencing skills; strong professional presence, with excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Ability to maintain strict HR standards of confidentiality and adhere to high ethical standards
  • Expertise in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Project)
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent military service
