Traffic Coordinator, Broadcast

The Traffic Coordinator is responsible for scheduling and distributing TV commercials, Radio and Digital Medial materials to networks, stations, and other media outlets. Responsibilities include helping with cost estimates of shipping and network changes, ensuring materials are delivered on time, understanding the impact of creative changes to media schedules, managing inventory and billing.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Act as liaison between stations, clients, and post production to ensure all parties are aware of station requirements, to facilitate compliance and avoid delays in media scheduling
  • Lead liaison to internal Marketing, Media, Creative, Broadcast production and post house teams.
  • In conjunction with other Creative, Production and Broadcast Production team, provide counsel and guidance to clients and post-production teams regarding network clearance compliance and anticipated challenges
  • Oversee all Network Clearance, traffic instructions, and status updates from asset delivery to live date.
  • Generate traffic estimates and manage dub and shipping budgets for internal agency team.
  • Manage trafficking and approval of all production and billing, for the purpose of tracking commercial spots
  • Coordinate Media Producers and Post house on spot master delivery and create and manage trafficking logs
  • Investigate and rapidly resolve all trafficking issues, errors and questions.
  • Maintain updated media partner contacts database with contacts, deadlines, material and format requirements
  • Anticipate and troubleshoot clearance issues

Core Competencies & Accomplishments:

  • Minimum 2- 4 years’ experience with Radio/TV Trafficking a must.
  • Experienced and successful in project management/coordination experience
  • Related college degree Genuine interest in broadcast production
  • Excellent communications and organizational skills
  • Proficient MS Office skills including Excel
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, fluid environment
  • Must be able to work well independently
  • Interest and experience in building and refining processes to create efficiency and clarity in communication.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear direction and problem resolution with key stakeholders.
  • Must be a self starter, easily adaptable and flexible
