Sr. Specialist - eCommerce Customer Engagement

The eCommerce Customer Engagement Sr. Specialist will support the Sr. Manager of eCommerce Customer Engagment by providing the analysis, insights, and coordination necessary to drive critical solutions for engagement and retention of JCPenney digital customers. As a part of its Omnichannel strategy, JCPenney is committed to providing seamless shopping experience to its customers regardless of where and when they chose to interact with us. The Sr. Specialist of Customer Engagement will be an intrigal player in creating solutions for the customer journey.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Translate the key business challenges and customer needs into digital opportunities
  • Execute recommendations made by strategy managers, leveraging eCommerce industry research, best practices, trends and competitive intelligence
  • Support Ecommerce strategy team and cross functional parters to deliver rapid solutions to business opportunities
  • Execute implementation tasks for special projects and successfully pass along to operational partners
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to collect and synthesize information to influence decision making in regard to customer engagement projects
  • Provide action-oriented insights
  • Support the Digtal Strategy and greater eCommerce team with project troubleshooting
  • Provide ad hoc competitive, industry, marketing, and customer analysis as requested by executive leaders

  • Ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial mind set and be a critical thinker who takes initiative.
  • Highly adaptable, with a solve for yes attitude and strong sense of accountability
  • High degree of critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, ability to learn and apply new concepts & technologies in a wide variety of analytic, marketing, and customer-centric disciplines
  • Must apply a customer-centric approach to projects
  • Adept at identifying and remediating roadblocks to completing tasks
  • Ability to cooperate with cross-functional team members; can act independently on projects and deliver to realistic but demanding performance deadlines
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills and ability to present point-of-view to various levels of the organization
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent retail strategy experience required
