The Sr. Project Manager for Customer Care Support is responsible for driving customer-facing projects for JCPenney’s Contact Centers. This individual will also support in-depth business reviews, present to senior management, and support initiatives within the different lines of business within JCPenney. The Sr. Project Manager must be able to work at the strategic level to drive ideas to promote an exceptional customer and associate experience, while lowering cost and/or increasing the Company’s Return On Investment. Additionally, this individual needs to be able to work at the tactical level analyzing data, capturing trends and solving problems as they partner on process improvements and product enhancements.

Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities include:

  • Consult with various business units to determine needs and identify new opportunities to improve the customer experience and drive competitive advantage
  • Continually monitor competition and industry developments to deliver features that provide JCPenney customers an exceptional experience
  • Continually monitor data for trends to be able to proactively offer solutions to ensure a great customer and associate experience
  • Effectively communicate the product vision to various stakeholders within the Company
  • Conduct requirement gathering sessions, and effectively elicit and prioritize requirements
  • Ensure business needs are captured in a clear, concise and unambiguous way
  • Responsible for operational readiness tasks and performs product demos to stakeholders
  • Work closely with line(s) of business and end users to ensure system capability and business process uniformity
  • Identify and assess value of technology with new vendors to deliver on innovative customer experience features
  • Build reporting to capture necessary information to make informative decisions to ensure a great customer experience and decrease cost

  • Ability to manage multiple projects across different groups
  • Experience in using data to drive decision making
  • Strong experience in requirements gathering, writing functional specifications and user stories
  • Proven analytical capability and the ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Agile Development Methodologies

Must have Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • 1 year of working in or with Customer Care Contact Center
  • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Tableau
  • Been involved in large Technology implementations (i.e. new phone system, workforce management system, or operating system)
