Enterprise Fulfillment Senior Manager - Ecommerce Strategy

The Ecommerce Strategy Team dives strategy and program delivery for digital sales and fulfillment. The fulfillment team is tasked with completing the customer purchase promise. The team is responsible for driving instore pickup and delivering product to the customer. The goal is to constantly improve the customer experience by improving time to the customer while driving internal cost efficencies.

The Enterprise Fulfillment Sr. Manager is responsible for managing and leading the Enterprise Fulfillment team and delivering all strategic initiatives focused on the process of storing inventory, picking and packing products, enabling in-store pickup or shipping online orders to customers. The position requires constant focus on driving operational efficiencies, strong project management skills, and a strong grasp of direct and indirect competitive landscapes all while providing continued recommendations to improve both experience and profitability.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Understand the business needs and functional requirements for order management and fulfillment solutions for eCommerce.
  • Engage with business partners of the eCommerce post-purchase process across such functions as IT, Finance, Accounting, Marketing/Sales, Supply Chain with the ability to recommend and design state of the art solutions in order management (OMS) and both digital and physical fulfillment capabilities.
  • Establish value propositions that justify investments in these solutions and have the ability to articulate this value.
  • Possess sufficient technical knowledge to support the design of these solutions, including addressing mitigation of associated risks in order management and fulfillment
  • Exhibit a knowledge and understanding of leading practices in eCommerce OMS and fulfillment functionality and experience across a multitude of solutions
  • Leading initiatives to reduce fulfillment costs and/or increase fulfillment speed.
  • Manages relationships with third party drop ship management vendors.

Core Competencies & Accomplishments:

  • A minimum of ten years of experience in managing and/or implementing eCommerce solutions, with extensive experience in Order Management Systems (OMS) and digital or physical product fulfillment.
  • Working knowledge of the leading solutions and providers of eCommerce OMS technology.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, e-commerce or demonstrated related job experience.
  • Excellent foundational business skills, including analytical, written and verbal communication, leadership presence, business partner relationship development, facilitation, and presentation skills
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Access, Visio, Word & PowerPoint
  • This position requires knowledge of online retail and merchandising in order to translate business needs into an online experience that ensures a high quality customer interaction in all customer touch points.
  • The candidate should be proactive, a self-starter, and have strong communication skills, as well as a proven team leader and contributor.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive business cases and strong project management skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem solving skills and proven ability to handle multiple projects independently, both short and long term.
  • Ability to provide data-driven, informed recommendations and creative solutions to data challenges, working through and with others.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management.
