Store Operations Senior Manager - Payroll, Labor Scheduling, and Reporting Analytics

The Store Operations Sr. Manager will manage and support all labor scheduling, payroll expense, and Reporting/Data Analytics within their area of responsibility and report to the Store Operations Director Staffing & of Staffing.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leads the development and updates for all store labor productivity standards that support store workload; works with Staffing team and process owners to identify productivity opportunities and develop solutions to improve store labor productivity and service levels
  • Provides strategic direction to the Store Operations Development/Analytics team by identifying business opportunities and prioritizing projects based on ROI; partners with business unit leader to coach and develop Store Operations Development/Analytics associates
  • Coordinates system workload requirements with Labor Budgeting Sr. Manager to optimize the distribution of labor resources within the Labor Budgeting system
  • Partners with Information Technology team to coordinate system application updates and enhancements for Labor Forecast Scheduling Optimization system; oversees system forecasting methods and processes to ensure system consistently delivers accurate forecasting
  • Assists in the development of strategic staffing strategies that align with business needs to drive sales, service and profits
  • Delivers payroll reporting results and dynamic payroll planning and usage tools to business units

Core Competencies & Accomplishments:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 5-7 years of experience in retail merchandising or store operations management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; proficient in Excel
  • Build strong relationships across multiple Home Office departments
  • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking skills; ability to interpret and process information to develop sound conclusions
  • In-depth understanding/knowledge of workforce forecasting and scheduling systems
  • Ability to oversee payroll expense objectives through multi-unit locations
