The JCPenney Executive Support Engineer is responsible for providing day-to-day white glove process and technical support for JCP C-Level Executives, Officers, and their Administrative Assistants. In this role, you are the single point-of-contact for all Technology issues and must quickly and effectively diagnose and resolve issues related to laptops, mobile devices, printers, videoconferencing, applications, voice/telecommunication issues, local network issues, and other JCP technology. This role is highly visible across the Executive team up to and including our CEO. Onsite and remote support is required when needed, and you will provide Technology support for related company events (earnings calls, board meetings, etc). The individual in this role is expected to develop trusting relationships and maintain confidentiality to best understand and support executive-level needs. The successful candidate will possess deep technical knowledge in the required fields, as well as exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver white glove IT support to our executives related to their technology such as laptops, mobile devices, printers, videoconferencing, applications, voice/telecommunication issues, local network issues, and other JCP technology
  • Independently resolve complex, break/fix issues in person – onsite or remotely
  • Ability to quickly create alternative viable solutions in a respectful manner to avoid additional disruption of work for our Executives
  • Perform installations, replacements, upgrades, and other hardware/software related tasks as needed
  • Setup, prepare and monitor high-priority executive meetings and company events
  • Provide recommendations regarding new technologies to better support all executive users
  • Maintain documentation on assets, Executive associates’ roster, and general fixes as it relates to our Executive team
  • Conduct On-Boarding and/or Training Sessions for Executives as needed
  • Escalate problems to other technology areas or management when appropriate
  • Maintain intention to resolve issues within the first 24 hours of notification; set reasonable expectations and follow up appropriately and timely to ensure proper closure

Core Competencies & Accomplishments:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Direct experience supporting C-Level executives, Officers, and their staff
  • Experience troubleshooting desktop hardware, operating systems, mobile phones, and printers
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 0365 products (Windows, Office, Outlook, Skype, etc.)
  • Hands-on troubleshooting experience with the ability to perform under intense scrutiny
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with a focus on executive level support
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with close attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Highest degree of professionalism and integrity
  • Flexibility to be on call during off hours and weekends
