Test Analyst 2 - Application Portfolio Management & Development

The Test Analyst 2 will report to one of the Senior Managers in the Testing Center of Excellence in Plano, TX and will be part of the team that is responsible for supporting our Supply chain and stores business area.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Build solid domain knowledge of business functions and business impacts
• Evaluate requirements in order to define appropriate test scenarios and cases
• Coordinate with other test teams to ensure successful and accurate completion of all test objectives
• Be able to perform both manual and automated testing and make changes to automation scripts as required on each project
• Execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
• Design and develop test scripts
• Post and communicate test case results in ALM/JIRA
• Perform basic problem isolation for conditions blocking test execution
• Evaluate requirements in order to define appropriate test scenarios and cases

Core Competencies & Accomplishments:

• 6+ years testing experience overall, both manual and automated
• Experience testing software packages
• 3 – 5 years’ experience in retail/wholesale and Supply Chain domain
• 3 – 5 years’ experience in Inventory Management, Logistics, Third party Logistics 3PL's and Direct to Consumer (D2C)
• Familiarity with PLC based control systems, command line Unix skills for searching / viewing files.
• Hands on experience in Mainframe/COBOL is additional plus  
• Experience with retail brick and mortar store signing and/or pricing processes
• Familiar with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Proficient in use of HP ALM (Quality Center)
• Apply quality engineering principals throughout the Agile product lifecycle
• Experienced with both UFT and open source test automation tools
• Finely-tuned analytic and creative skills for problem solving and suggesting alternatives
• Exposure to Continuous Build, Continuous Integration development environment is a plus
• Experience working within Agile teams is also highly preferred for this position
