Manages the maintenance program to ensure timely and effective technical and janitorial maintenance activities within the Logistics Center

are consistent with logistic standards, and at lowest feasible cost.

1. Manages the maintenance and preventive maintenance programs for all electrical, mechanical and energy-related equipment to ensure

safe operation with minimum downtime due to equipment failure.

2. Ensures proper documentation and prioritization of work orders and provides a safe and efficient work environment.

3. Works closely with Network Maintenance Coordination team to ensure consistency and SOPs are followed to optimize effort.

4. Manages availability of spare and repair parts, maintenance and housekeeping supplies, janitorial services, scrap disposal and skilled

services not available at the Logistics center by maintaining contacts with outside contractors and suppliers.

5. Ensures for the proper training and equipping of the maintenance staff; develop Associates skills and technical knowledge.

6. Contacts private and governmental agencies for special functions, including such things as insurance inspections, road repairs, utility

upkeep and safety activities.

7. Participates in various EPA and OSHA compliance programs, hazardous material handling, facility energy management and

conservation, and waste recycling programs at the Logistics center.

8. Manage all large scale projects (i.e. roof, sorters, etc); responsible for 24-hour a day call-in procedures for emergencies that occur in

the Logistics center, and responds immediately when necessary.

1. Works with logistics center operations to schedule maintenance, installation, capital improvements and coordinates manner to ensure

customer service and production are not compromised.

2. Works closely with Logistic engineering management relative to interpretation and adherence to Company and Logistic maintenance

policies, procedures and standards.

3. Works with external contractors and suppliers to ensure needed parts, supplies, and services are available.

4. Works with Home Office facilities engineering manager relative to maintaining building integrity, conformity with building codes,

insurance requirements, cost limitations and operating efficiency within the Logistics center.

Education: College degree in mechanical or engineering fields preferred, or equivalent experience.

Experience: Should have 5 years' background in maintenance and/or construction, including 3–5 years' supervisory experience.

Core/Positional Competencies: Excellent communication, interpersonal, management and problem solving skills; must be flexible and have strong sense of

urgency.
