Safety Coordinator
Job Description
Duties:
Serves as Safety first point of contact for all Team Members
Follow up on Workers Comp cases
Coordinate and conduct random drug screens
Coordinate safety awards program
Complete severe weather drills quarterly
Participate in safety committee meetings
Audit First Aid kits
Track and administer Vision screens
Prepare and maintain OSHA 300 related reports and respond to
inquiries
Conduct safety training classes and initiatives
Assist with reports and research on training certifications for team
members
Coordinate or conduct refresher training for PIT Operators
Conduct and Track OSHA Required Training including but not
limited to:
CPR/AED/ BBP
CW Descent Device Operation
Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
Emergency Eyewash/Shower
Electrical Safe Work Practices
Compressed Gas Cylinders
Portable Ladder climbing
Glass Handling Safety
Fall Protection – Elevated work surfaces & Roof edge
Confined space
Asbestos
DOT Hazardous Materials – Limited quantity
Hazardous Communication SDS
Knife Safety
Powered Industrial Trucks
CRANE
Tools – Hand & Power
Administration:
Prepare and maintain reports with regularity
Provide clerical and administrative support
Maintain confidentiality
Compose and distribute written correspondence from H & S
Organize and maintain electronic and paper files
Maintain and prepare Standard Operating Procedures and manuals
Create and maintain H & S forms for the facility
Assist in responding to H & S inquiries
Coordinates audits and safety huddles
Qualifications Required:
Proficient in all Microsoft applications to include Word, Excel, Access,
Power Point, and Outlook
Flexibility to adjust their schedule to meet the demands of the business
Ability to efficiently multi-task and prioritize workload to deal with frequent
distractions
Ability to respond to high stress situations and work environment
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Professional communication and excellent customer service skills to
address issues for all levels of team members
Requires initiative, attention to detail, and excellent follow-up skills
Preferred:
Between 1-3 years of experience in Health and Safety preferred
Experience working with OSHA 300 log and administering OSHA
compliance
Requires typing of 35-40 wpm
Ability to problem solve and analyze facts to make decisions
Full-time work hours: Sunday - Thursday 10 am – 6:30 pm
