Manager Integrated Marketing (Promotions or Loyalty)

The Manager Integrated Marketing (Promotions or Loyalty) will support and assist the Director Integrated Marketing (Promotions and Loyalty) by driving JCPenney growth and traffic through integrated marketing campaigns for promotions, offers and price based events. In this role, you'll be responsible for the delivery of our promotional offers though multi channel marketing. You will be managing communication plans aligned to promotional plans while building differentiation from key competitors through creative messaging and story telling. You will be highly skilled in balancing short term revenue goals with long term brand value and other corporate goals. With experience interpreting and leveraging, analytical and price/offer data, consumer research and competitor assessments you will lead the integrated promotional messaging for optimized marketing ROI.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Partner with fellow the pod members building marketing solutions across the promotional calendar.
  • in an integrated and brand building way
  • Manage the messaging strategies for the collection of promotions and customer offers to convert customers to purchase
  • Be responsible for defining the content needs of promotional activities in partnership with the project manager and channel partners to ensure efficient creative production
  • Ideate opportunities for new promotions and sales events
  • Create efficient functional briefs for Promo creative teams to execute efficiently and accurately
  • Be responsible for maintaining an up to date calendar for promo messaging as part of the integrated content plans
  • Develop and execute integrated promo marketing plans that leverage a mix of tactics and messaging executed via digital, social media, email, events, PR, and content marketing to support growth
  • Contribute to seasonal messaging strategies by integrating the key promotions and products into the defined customer story and content plans
  • Partner teams across marketing and creative on the development and execution of all promo marketing collateral, including advertising, content, and digital assets etc.
  • Partner with media, content and channel teams to define the integrated marketing needs for each promotion to deliver marketing performance goals, asset needs and executional requirements
  • Communicate in a consistent and timely manner with Marketing and Cross functional team members in respect to promo and price changes.
  • Manage change requests form Commercial and Performance Marketing to ensure pricing and promo messaging is accurate and effective.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, messaging, that elevates JCPenney promotions to create differentiation from the competition.
  • Analyze and apply sales data and market research to identify new opportunities for the promotions and loyalty offers, and stay up-to-date on industry trends.
  • Provide support with KPI measurement and reporting

Core Competencies & Accomplishments:
  • 5+ years of experience in retail marketing, with at least some experience leading one or two team members.
  • Experience working in different industries / categories like consumer brands, consumer packaged goods, retail or fashion.
  • Experience developing and implementing successful integrated promo plans that leverage a mix of messages across a variety of channels including digital, social media, email, events, PR, and content marketing.
  • Strong track record in retail marketing and advertising where you managed a high volume of detail driven creative for sales/promo offers
  • Strong understanding of promo strategy, channel strategy, media planning and overall marketing principals
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • You will be the most organized and process driven marketer
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing or Communications.
