Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible performing Oracle database administration tasks
  
  Perform database upgrades and patches.
  
  Identify performance issues, recommend/implement performance improvements.
  
  Perform/schedule database maintenance, maintain/execute backup and recoveries.
  
  Perform database on-call functions and participate in routine planned support and project activities.
  
  Meet deadlines for changes requested by clients/peer
  
  Work closely with data modeler, DBA and cross-functional team to deliver solutions to business
  
  Analyze trends to proactively prevent problems.
  
  Work with cross-functional teams across different geographies

Core Competencies & Accomplishments:

College Degree required

Must have strong written and oral communication skills

Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, agile environment

Action oriented

Strong analytical/problem solving skills

Should be motivated to grow in the job role

Retail experience desirable but not required

Technical Skills/Requirements:

9+ years of Experience in database administration on Oracle 9i, 10g,11g,12c,19c

Proficient in RAC, Data Guard, Golden Gate and Exadata

Proficient with SQL Query writing and tuning

Experience with shell script and Unix commands for general database maintenance.

Strong analytical problem solving and communication skill.

Strong SQL performance tuning and instance level tuning.

Experience working with OEM tool

Experience dealing with large data volumes (multi-terabytes) is a plus

Experience providing alternative actions or leading problem resolution and escalation

Very good hands on experience in managing database backup and recovery using RMAN

Experience with Snowflake, APEX, Teradata database administration, Oracle Apps (EBS), Peoplesoft Administration is a plus

Capable of working independently, driving major activities and mentoring others.
