Director of Strategic Finance

We are looking for a Director of Strategic Finance to provide strategic and operational support to the CFO at JCPenney. You will drive the most critical projects and initiatives with leaders in finance and across the organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Supporting the CFO in developing and executing the financial strategy of the company.
• Acting as a liaison between the CFO and key leaders within the organization to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
• Supporting critical financial processes including board communications, annual operating plan, long range planning, and other financial operations.
• Conducting research and providing insights on competitors, financial and business trends to the CFO and other senior leaders.
• Developing and implementing processes and procedures to improve financial operations effectiveness and efficiency.
• Handling special projects and initiatives as assigned by the CFO.

Core Competencies & Accomplishments:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as strong analytics and financial acumen.
• They should be able to think strategically and creatively to solve problems and drive results.
• Experience in financial modeling and business case development.
• Ability to communicate complex problems clearly and concisely via PowerPoint.
• Experience in project management and team leadership.
• Experience in Financial planning and Analysis is a plus.
• Experience in corporate development is a plus.
