Engineer 2 -QA

We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer 2 to join our Application Testing team; in this role, primary responsibility will Test end-end Retail application using Manual testing methodology along with automation skills to automate and maintain test scripts.

The associate will also be responsible for understanding the domain and working with multiple stakeholders to arrive at an appropriate test plan and demonstrate excellence in execution. While operating in an Agile environment.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Analyze requirements and prepare test scenarios/BDDs. If requirements are incomplete, they need to ask meaningful questions that will yield more information and help perform testing effectively.
  • Strong in understanding requirements, converting to test plan/testcases, execution and quality assurance, Ability to understand the given product design document/requirements and test the product and certify with quality
  • Contribute to QA and test process enhancement initiatives, analyses automation results, troubleshoot test failures, review, and report the result, work with development groups to identify and resolve problems.
  • Exposure to REST paradigm and calling REST API, Knowledge on RDBMS.
  • Exposure to Automation with BDD, TestNG frameworks with Java skills to automate test cases etc will be added advantage.
  • Use critical thinking and analytical skills to examine bug reports, prioritize necessary tests, prioritize, and estimate task execution.
  • Maintain existing automation test scripts by analyzing the script failures.
  • Work closely with the offshore team to share and get updates on daily testing activities.

  • Excellent communication skills and teamwork skills to interact with project team members and stakeholders.
  • Delivers day-to-day assignments with a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Proactively identifies issues, driving them to closure and escalating to leadership as needed.
  • Should have strong coordination, communication & reporting, and analytical skills.
  • Good understanding of OOPS concepts and proficiency in core JAVA.
  • Should be able to assess the impacts of changes in the systems in both upstream and downstream applications.
  • Strong experience with JIRA, QMetry, Eclipse, or other test and defect management tools.
  • Strong experience in scripting using Selenium with Java and Rest APIs.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
  • 4-5 years' experience in a testing role
  • Candidates having retail, e-commerce domain knowledge will be added advantage
