Engineer 2 - POS Tester

We are looking for an experienced POS Tester to join our team. In this role, your main responsibilities will include POS application & hardware level testing while operating in an Agile environment. An ideal applicant will have knowledge in service level testing utilizing Postman or similar automated testing software. Candidate should be able to perform test cases, capture output and effectively perform analysis while providing detailed observations or behaviors. Applicant should be familiar with utilizing JIRA to capture observations while documenting the appropriate recreate steps.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the development team for any testing needs.
• Creating service level testing plans utilizing Postman or similar automated testing software.
• Work directly with other JCPenney IT associates as well as JCPenney business customers to create test strategies, execute test activities and provide detailed analysis.
• Onsite presence is required as you will have responsibility for lab management/oversight.
• Creating test strategies, scripts and plans to ensure our testing capabilities are first in class.

Core Competencies & Accomplishments:

• Familiarity with POS hardware / Software
• Familiarity with Aptos POS software
• Working knowledge of GK POS software
• Creating service level testing plans utilizing Postman or similar service testing tool.
• Work experience in Agile Scrum methodologies
• Experience with JIRA or similar platform
• Familiar with Selenium framework design (JavaScript)
• Knowledge of mobile testing is a plus

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
• 3 years' experience in a testing role
• Able to lift 40 pounds / Be active in your role potentially due to relocation / movement of hardware / lab redesign.
