Digital Experience Director - Sitewide & Cross-Divisional Journeys

The Director, Digital Experience will drive innovation, strategy, planning and execution for cross-divisional journeys, events, content and navigation to achieve consistent and compelling storytelling on jcp.com. Key responsibilities include building customer engagement and return frequency while driving ecommerce sales & margin.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Drive vision, strategy, planning and storytelling for cross-divisional journeys, optimizing customer experiences based on data and testing
  • Establish best practices for customer journey planning in partnership with other journey owners such as email, homepage, social and digital merchants
  • Partner with key stakeholders across functional teams to optimize customer experience, including Merchandising, Marketing, UX, Creative, Analytics, Product Management and Operations
  • Lead collaboration with UX, Product and Technology in optimizing personalized customer experiences
  • Boost customer engagement and inspire deeper exploration
  • Define and track KPIs & dashboards, including financial, engagement & efficiency metrics
  • Increase visitor and customer return frequency and movement up the value ladder
  • Monitor competitor experiences to understand how JCP compares and to drive digital product roadmap
  • Coach, develop and train team to advance skills and support career development
  • Drive improvement of sitewide promotional events
  • Drive calendar and content creation, including landing pages, for content hub channel
  • Responsible for consistency, testing and improvement of top navigation across site

  • Effective storyteller and communicator across all levels of the organization with strong interpersonal skills
  • Skilled at working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Independent driver yet communicative and team-oriented
  • Expertise of and passion for digital retail and analytics with a strong analytical nature
  • Comfort with ambiguity with the ability to synthesize data from multiple sources and structure processes
  • Leadership experience including developing, training, and growing team to maximize their full potential
  • 10+ years of relevant digital experience
  • Bachelor's Degree
