Customer Care Administrative Assistant

The Customer Care Administrative Assistant assists management with diversified administrative clerical and support activities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Initiates and responds to internal and external customers.
  • Participates in accomplishing tasks in assigned area, such as:
    • Calculating and/or verifying data for special projects.
    • Preparing and completing work requests and follow-up.
    • Setting up and maintaining files, logging, faxing, and distributing data.
    • Verifying and approving data based on specific guidelines.
    • Compiling and distributing notes for leadership meetings.
  • Leads work activities such as:   
    • Scheduling and balancing workload.
    • Handling routine correspondence, routing departmental mail.
    • Tracks and replenishes supplies and home agent equipment, including assembling equipment kits.
  • Balances expenses and submits expense reports for Customer Care leadership
  • Drafts reports, memoranda and other media of a semi-technical nature for management’s review.
  • Computes and verifies data on a variety of subjects.
  • Reviews databases and other documentation to compile information and initiate and respond to inquiries (from internal and external sources) orally and in writing.
  • Performs related clerical and administrative activities, such as typing, data entry, and setting up and maintaining files and databases.
  • Uses PC to input and analyze data in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Completes local supply errands outside of the Care Center.
  • Perform other assigned tasks as requested.

Core Competencies & Accomplishments:

  • Requires personal computing and working knowledge of other standard office equipment including computers, scanners, telephones, calculators and fax machines.
  • Above average communication skills (orally and in writing).
  • Must be organized, detail oriented, and attentive to follow-through.
  • Requires math skills including fractions/decimals.
  • Requires application of special skill or knowledge and/or techniques pertinent to work assignments; this includes problem solving and editing work of others
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows, Excel, Word and other Microsoft Business Applications (qualified applicants may be subject to Skill Assessment testing)
  • Requires the ability to work independently, make decisions and edit work of others.
  • Minimum of 3 months with the company
  • Must be rated at least satisfactory in all areas of performance and not on any form of Policy Violation Warning.
  • Familiarity with departmental, organizational and Company policies and procedures; advanced training in subject matter.
  • The work location for this position is in the Columbus, Ohio area, within reasonable commute to the Customer Care Center.
  • Must possess and show a valid state driver’s license and reliable transportation to complete errands. Must possess and show auto insurance coverage covering any property damage for the vehicle that will be driven.
  • Ability to complete the physical essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
