Store Operations Systems Senior Specialist

The Store Operations Systems Senior Specialist will assist in the execution and implementation of store mobile applications, back office and inventory control systems. Additionally, this position will support the management of our Pricing application and Mobile Hardware with the JCPenney customer at the center.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Builds Agile stories, tests and implements the suite of mobile applications and leads store implementation.
  • Maintains and updates access rights and data elements that enable associate access to mobile tools, keeping associates customer facing.
  • Coordinates Mobile and Back Office Hardware and Infrastructure updates between Technology and Stores through regular meetings and following the jPlant Project Management process.
  • Responds to technology questions from stores with a sense of urgency, developing long term solutions for frequent questions; maiantian FAQs and updates traing manuals and quick guides as needed.
  • Ensures applications adhere to Company Policies, Standards and Procedures.
  • Gains feedback, fosters relationships, and responds effectively to Field Operations through email and regularly scheduled conference calls.
  • Supports applications which drive Inventory accuracyâ€< by scheduling cycle and RFID counts and coordinating adjustments with the accounting teams.
  • Assists with the execution of New Store Opening and Closing Store Processesâ€< by managing implementation timelines and scheduling Application Support Maintenance activities.

  • Competent with Scrum / Agile process
  • Embraces a Growth Mindset, Thinks Critically, Manages Execution, Builds Relationships at various levels across the organization
  • Store/Retail Point of Sale and Mobile App experience is a plus
  • Strong Communication and Project Management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience; BA or AA degree a plus
